California Science Center: Free Admission Daily

The California Science Center has free admission daily to their exhibits. The California Science Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is $10 for cars but the free admission includes access to all their permanent exhibitions, Exposition Park, The Rose Garden, and more. 


They just opened the Cleopatra Exhibit but tickets for this exhibit are $19.75 for adults, $12.75 for kids ages 4-12, and $16.75 for college students and high school students (w/id), and $16.75 for seniors.

Beverly Hills: Free Meal at BierBeisl in the Month of July If You Are Taller Than 6'8"

I saw this one on NBCLA and I just have to share it!


Calling all tall people! In the month of July, you can score a free meal at the hottest new Austrian restaurant in Beverly Hills, BierBeisl, if you are taller than Chef Bernhard. He is a whopping 6'8" and you must be taller than that without your shoes on. 


The meal includes one entree, one dessert, and bragging rights. You will be measured at the restaurant.


The restaurant is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon to midnight, Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday with reservations.

Griffith Park: Free Shakespeare Festival by The Independent Shakespeare Company

Want to enjoy Shakespeare in the park this summer? Then head on over to Los Angeles' Griffith Park.


The Independent Shakespeare Co. will be performing Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Comedy of Errors through September 2 at Griffith Park


Each show begins at 7 p.m. with workshops beginning at 5 p.m. during certain nights by Players in the Park.




Their website says that the workshops are free for families. Below is more information taken directly from their information page.

[The workshops are] led by ISC teaching artists, your family will learn about the play, explore Shakespeare's language, take a backstage tour, and try out how it feels on the ISC stage. All students take home materials about the play. Through support by the James Irvine Foundation, workshops and materials are also available in Spanish.
